Strategy Education is working with an Essex school that is looking to recruit a well motivated Newly Qualified Teacher of Geography to join their teaching team from September 2012. The successful applicant will have a good honours degree in Geography and will be currently completing a course of Initial Teacher Training either via the PGCE, GTP or SCITT scheme. You will be required to teach Geography through key stages 3 and 4 and will be given the opportunity to gain experience at A Level. Humanities is an established and vibrant department in the school but there is a need for a specialist Geography teacher. For the right candidate there is the opportunity to be an AST designate and be accelerated into M2 / M3 depending on previuos work history. The school run a successful induction programme for NQTs and have a committed, dynamic staff team.
